The Family Tree has been nominated for the 2011 International IMPAC Dublin Award - which, even if it doesn’t get any further than that, is a terrific honour!

This year I will be doing some creative writing teaching at the short courses wing of Holmesglen TAFE in Moorabbin. I will be teaching ’Write Your Life Story’ (Thursday evenings) and also giving a few Saturday workshops (either at Moorabbin or Chadstone) on ’Turning Fact into Fiction’. If you’re interested simply contact short courses at Holmesglen TAFE for further details. Should be fun!

Join me on my blog at http://themiddle-agedspread.blogspot.com - it’s all part of a journey towards my next book (tentatively titled The Invisible Woman, and other remarkable phenomena of middle-age), which will be a non-fiction exploration of middle-age for women (probably part of my own mid-life crisis). Fascinating stuff!

And, if you’re somewhat middle-aged yourself, then please take the time to complete the
survey
(should only take five minutes). Feel free to send the link to your friends - the more the merrier!

Shadow Forest Authors is an organisation aiming to "encourage every author worldwide and from every genre to donate just one copy of their title to fill a void in reading materials and get both paperback books and e-books where they are urgently needed. Authors and supporters standing together to make a difference, our humble shadows speaking volumes."  Anybody can support this worthwhile organisation (and assist worldwide literacy). If you’re interested, simply click on the badge below.
